We’re back from our Afterschooling break and a new school year is about to begin!
Our afterschool block plan always begins with a view of the next twelve months. Seasonal festivals, celebrations, term dates, holidays and special events are plugged into the calendar.
I then identify what weeks we will Afterschool. This year we are following the school term as outlined by the Education Department of Western Australia.
Next I ‘block’ our Afterschool weeks into either a Language focus block or a Mathematics focus block.

I will review this rhythm during our April Easter break.
Exciting news for you all, today I am providing you with February’s Afterschool monthly activity planner to give you an idea of what’s coming up and the Afterschool Weekly Play Rhythm will return next week! I know so many of you have missed receiving this.
