Then each week the planner is supported by our Afterschooling Weekly Play Rhythm detailing how to create and do the activity with your child. Monday is Story Day
Week Four
Week Five
You will have noticed that our books have been photographed in our new reading space!
Tuesday is Play Day
We played with our Kinetic sand.
Wednesday is Create Day
And created with play dough.
Thursday is Discovery Day
This week we explored blowing a balloon up without using air.
Baking soda (bicarbonated soda) in a bottle, some vinegar and a balloon.
Add the vinegar to the baking soda in the bottle and quickly secure the balloon to the top. Stand back and watch the balloon inflate!
Yep! There really is a gas in there inflating the balloon!
Friday is Learn Day
I haven’t included the Inset tray or the Sandpaper numerals because after observing Ooffa with our homemade insets I decided that he would benefit from having a proper set and I don’t have the time to make our numerals at the moment, so I ordered some from an Australian outlet that I haven’t used before and I still haven’t received our order after two weeks waiting
Saturday is Game Day
Teaching the kids to play Bingo.
Sunday is Nature Adventurers
How awesome is this Moreton Bay fig tree! Of course, when there’s a tree that’s just inviting you to climb it, what can you do at five and six years old but climb it!
